How the NYPD covers up the extent of its biometric surveillance

The Office of the Inspector General for the New York Police Department (OIG-NYPD) has issued its first report on the impact and use policies (UIPs) regulating surveillance and biometric technology – which has cost $159 million to deploy and use since 2007, civil liberties organizations have said.
