Opera, the browser company has launches a new gaming browser with Twitch integration. Through the gaming browser Opera GX, the company aims to deliver a seamless experience for gamers by letting them control the memory and the processing power consumed by the browser.

“Running a game might require a lot of effort from your machine. Even more so if you are streaming while you play. Before Opera GX, gamers often shut down their browsers in order to not slow down their gaming experience. We came up with the GX Control feature to make people’s games run more smoothly without requiring them to compromise on what they do on the Web,” said Maciej Kocemba, Project Manager at Opera.

Browsers generally tend to be resource intensive and consume a significant portion of your RAM and CPU memory while running. Here’s where Opera’s gaming browser shines; the browser comes with a GX Control panel that helps users control the amount of CPU and RAM being allocated to the browser.

GX Control panel consists of a RAM limiter which helps you control the memory consumed by your browser and a CPU limiter which helps you put a cap on how much of the processing power of your system is used by your browser.

This way, gamers need not worry about slowing down their system when they plan to game and stream it on Twitch simultaneously. They can simply go on Opera GX, reduce the resources consumed by the browser and enjoy the game while streaming it without any compromise.

One of the interesting things to note about the browser is Twitch integration. Opera GX supports Twitch out of the box and users can log in to Twitch directly from the sidebar on the browser. Users will also be notified each time a streamer they follow goes live. On top of it, the browser has integrated Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Vkontakte and WhatsApp into the sidebar as well.

Opera GX comes with several other bells and whistles such as enhanced and specially designed in-browser sound effects, customizable designs, specially designed wallpapers, ad-blocker, and a free VPN.
