Fastmail and Bitwarden have partnered to provide a new email alias integration. Fastmail is a privacy-focused email provider committed to protecting user data and online privacy. Bitwarden provides an open-source password manager used by millions globally.
The partnership integrates Fastmail’s open API with Bitwarden’s open-source platform. The integration will enable users to:
- Generate masked email addresses through a browser extension
- Create variations of your email address when interacting with different people, sites, or mailing lists
- Build visibility into how services and vendors are using your data
- Have greater control over how incoming email is filtered and blocked
“Bitwarden is a fantastic password management platform, and their open-source model integrates seamlessly with our systems. The integration only took a few weeks to implement from start to finish,” said Fastmail COO, Helen Horstmann-Allen.

Bitwarden said the integration gives users more privacy and anonymity.
