China is using technology to delete book manuscripts before they’re even published, advancing the ways Big Tech censors documents

Many countries around the world are these days working hard to take a page out of China’s censorship book – whether to control social media or society itself by implementing some version of Beijing’s “social credit system.”

But as a new case shows, they still have a ways to go; not so much as far as capability is concerned, but perhaps the readiness to use it.
