The media starts to admit Covid surveillance tools are playing into the hands of governments

Many privacy and other civil liberties groups have been warning all along that governments around the world will use the pandemic as a handy excuse to introduce more intrusive surveillance technology, and keep using it after the global panic was over.

The Associated Press reported about what it discovered during an investigation conducted over the period of a year – and these findings are worrying.
