• Best selling author Jordan Peterson and talk show host Dave Rubin have announced that they’ll be leaving the fan-funding site Patreon on January 15, 2019
• They say leaving Patreon isn’t something they want to do but this is about making a stand against Patreon’s ever moving encroachment on free speech and free expression
• They also announced the Patreon alternative they’ve been working on has been delayed because the user interface needs work and discussed their post-Patreon plans
In a new video, Jordan Peterson, a best selling author, and Dave Rubin, host of The Rubin Report talk show, have announced that they plan to leave the fan-funding website Patreon on January 15, 2019.
This follows their pre-Christmas announcement where they criticized Patreon for banning Sargon of Akkad and said they were working on a Patreon alternative.
In the new video, Rubin and Peterson explain that their Patreon alternative (which they originally planned to launch before Christmas 2018) has been delayed because the user interface needs more work.
They also discuss their reasons for leaving Patreon on January 15th and how they plan to move forward after leaving Patreon.
