Facebook is set to assist a potential Biden administration with coronavirus vaccine response. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg did not provide details but hinted that the company would censor vaccine-skeptic content to coincide with the rollout.

In a live-streamed interview with the head of the coronavirus response team Dr. Anthony Fauci, Zuckerberg said that Facebook is trying to help a potential Biden administration respond to the virus.

“You and the rest of the government have an important job ahead,” the social media giant’s CEO told Fauci in the interview.

“I know our team at Facebook has already reached out to the Biden campaign to help with the COVID response in any way that we can. I’m sure there will be a few important things that we can do together,” Zuckerberg added.

To help the Biden campaign, Facebook plans to fight vaccine-skepticism.

“We’re already planning a push around authoritative information on vaccines.”

However, he did not get into further details on what exactly that will involve.

Back in October, Facebook said it would remove ads that discouraged people from getting vaccinations.

More recently, it was revealed that that the social media company planned to push information that would encourage users to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
