Media outlets want to know why Facebook and Twitter aren’t removing “manipulated” Biden video

The media appears to be suggesting the video should be removed by social platforms.

Facebook and Twitter refuse to remove the “manipulated” video of a Joe Biden gaffe and the media want to know why.

The video is a clipped section of a speech where it appears that the former Vice President and presidential candidate for the Democratic Party, Joe Biden, supports the re-election of Donald Trump.

The video comes from a stumbling speech made on Saturday by the politician where he said, “We can only reelect Donald Trump if in fact we get engaged in this circular firing squad here.”

White House social media director Dan Scavino clipped the video so that Joe Biden only said, “we can only reelect Donald Trump.”

Since the content has been edited, it has earned the “misleading” label on Twitter, while on Facebook it is indicated more accurately that the video contains “partly false information.”

However, both social networks will not delete the content and, today, now that journalists are back in the office, they’re asking why.
