Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow, will launch a new social media platform in the coming weeks. The Trump ally was permanently banned from Twitter in January for violating its “civic integrity policy” by claiming that there were major discrepancies in the 2020 presidential election.
In an episode on the Charlie Kirk Show, Lindell said he’ll launch a social media platform to compete with big tech platforms in “four or five weeks.”
“All the influencers in this country will be able to go to and not worry about YouTube and actually be able to talk,” he said. “We’re launching this big platform, so all the voices of our country can come back and start telling it like it is again.”
Lindell did not provide details on what the platform will look like; he didn’t even provide a name. However, he did say that it will be more welcoming to dissenting views, unlike mainstream social media companies.
President Trump has also hinted at launching his own platform, with reports claiming he has held meetings with investors about a social media venture.
