For former US President Barack Obama, it’s time to capitalize on his eight years in office by selling some books – and now, to promote the first of those, “A Promised Land,” he is talking to the press.

These interviews, like the one he gave to the Atlantic, tend to be extensive just like the book – as his interviewer put it, the first of the two books of memoirs is over 750 pages long, “because he has much to say about many things.”
