The partnership of Big Tech and the Department of Homeland Security

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its collaboration with Big Tech is once again under criticism, this time from the angle of a campaign hub bringing together organizations describing themselves as working at the intersection of social justice.

Previously, the DHS was under intense scrutiny for its attempts to (via the failed Disinformation Governance Board) enlist Big Tech in what free speech advocates and some US lawmakers and politicians saw as a real-life iteration of the fictional dystopian “Ministry of Truth.”
