Leaked video shows Facebook plans to work with Biden administration “through a social justice lens”

Judging by a new leaked video released by Project Veritas, Facebook is gearing up for close cooperation with the Biden administration, and is promoting “social justice” as a lens through which every major decision should run.

Project Veritas has in the past published leaked tapes and videos, as well as interviews with insiders, aimed at proving the existence of political bias among major tech and corporate media companies.

The Facebook video contains footage from January 7 and 21, and conversations between some of the social media giant’s top executives, including CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg is heard praising Biden’s policies that are emerging in a string of executive orders he has been signing since taking office, that the Facebook CEO thinks are positive and important, and concern issues that his company cares about deeply.

“In his first day, President Biden already issued a number of executive orders on areas that we as a company really care quite deeply about,” Zuckerberg said.

He also said he was looking forward to working with the Biden administration on their top priorities, like the response to coronavirus.

Facebook’s head of global affairs Nick Clegg notes at one point that there has been dissatisfaction internationally, including by leaders such as the Mexican president and the German chancellor, with the way private companies making up Big Tech behave, and the amount of power they have.

While agreeing that they should be making “these decisions” (presumably a reference to censorship) in line with democratic rules – the video reveals that Clegg, a former high ranking member of the British government, does not believe that democratically agreed rules exist.

And that means these companies have to continue to make their own decisions “in real time,” he thinks.

Facebook VP of Integrity Guy Rosen is heard providing details about some of the tools the company started using over the past “three, four years” in order to “protect election”: one is a system that stops commenting on threads that Facebook has decided contain hate speech.

Reports say that VP of Civil Rights and Deputy General Counsel for Facebook Roy Austin declared that he wants “every major decision to run through a social justice lens.”

Another of his ideas is to have white police officers use Facebook’s Oculus virtual reality sets to make them “understand what it feels like to be a young black man who’s stopped and searched and arrested by the police.”
