European Council passes Articles 11 and 13 of the EU Copyright Directive in final vote
19 countries backed the Directive, six voted against it, and three abstained. All EU member states will now be required to write the Directive into their national law by 2021.
Article 13 has been approved by the European Parliament
The EU Copyright Directive, which includes Articles 11 and 13, was approved by 348 votes to 274 and the final text will now be sent to the EU Council for approval.
