Citing “hateful conduct,” Twitter suspended the popular account @LibsofTikTok on Thursday.

Twitter warned “Libs of TikTok” that: “You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.”

But the account only features liberals talking about their values, without any commentary. Twitter did not specify what post led to the 12-hour suspension.

The account was created in November 2020 and has since garnered over 600,000 followers. Its posts have been featured and discussed on conservative outlets like Fox and shows by figures such as Joe Rogan.

The person behind “Libs of TikTok” had anticipated the move by Twitter. On March 28, she posted, saying: “It’s a matter of time before I get suspended. Never know which post will be my last.
