In his latest video, YouTube’s biggest star PewDiePie revealed that he’s been thinking about new show ideas and that a weekly Pew News podcast could be on the horizon.
“I’ve been thinking, I’ve been playing around with ideas because I want to do a weekly show and I think a weekly sort of Pew News recap could be kind of fun. Like almost, I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna say the P-word, I don’t wanna say podcast, but I think something like that could be interesting. Pew News. That’s what it’s called.”
The announcement of this possible Pew News podcast comes after PewDiePie hinted that he would be introducing new shows and formats after returning from his YouTube break.
“It was good for me to take a break to sort of process what I’m doing and what I, what I want to do in the future and there’s definitely some changes I will have to do with the channel I think but I’ll, I’ll do them gradually,” PewDiePie said in his first video after returning to YouTube.
Before taking the break, Pew News was a regular fixture on his YouTube channel but it’s been nearly two months since PewDiePie last published an episode.
The Pew News YouTube show is hosted by a character called Poppy Smoria and it features news and current event along with PewDiePie’s opinions on the stories.
It’s unclear how the Pew News podcast would differ from the YouTube version of the show but if PewDiePie models the format of other YouTuber podcasts such as the H3 Podcast, Impaulsive, and Lew Later, it could be a longer, more in-depth look at news and current events.
