In the near future, users will be able to provide proof of vaccination using Apple Wallet. The tech giant claims the vaccination cards and records are stored securely and it would not have access, commenting only on the privacy aspects and ignoring the civil liberties concerns.

The feature will be released in a future iOS update.  The vaccine cards future will use the international SMART Health Cards standard, which is already being used in several vaccine certification systems. Users will sign the vaccine card with a private key, then create a public key that others can use to verify your status.

On the latest iOS version, iOS 15, users can store verifiable test results and vaccination records in the Health app.
