Dissenter, the app that lets you create a censorship-resistant comments section for any page on the internet, is having a fantastic first week with 125,090 comments being left on the platform during the first seven days.
The week one stats for Dissenter were shared in a tweet from Gab, the free speech software company that created Dissenter. In addition to passing the 125,000 comment mark, Dissenter also reached the following milestones in its first seven days:
- Total Users: 38,000
- Total Domains: 7,183
- Total URLs: 45,658
This surge in Dissenter growth follows the video-sharing site YouTube and the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes locking down their comments systems during the last week. YouTube announced that it will be disabling comments on videos featuring minors while Rotten Tomatoes announced that it will be removing pre-release comments.
These impressive week one stats are fantastic news and show that the continued censorship of comments sections across the internet is spurring massive growth on the Dissenter platform. The more big tech and mainstream media sites try to control online discourse, the more Dissenter will grow.
Dissenter is also working on a number of new features including voice comments and chat rooms. These new features should help Dissenter to grow even faster and make it the number one place for online conversations that are protected by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
