ProtonMail has rebranded to simply Proton, and has updated all of its plans with expanded storage, encrypted calendar, and VPN.

After rebranding to Proton, ProtonMail users can now use @proton.me addresses instead of the @protonmail.com they are used to. Proton is now offering three plans; Free, Mail Plus and Unlimited that allow end-to-end encrypted email and storage.

The new free plan expands storage from 500 MB to 1 GB. However, you can only send 150 messages a day and can only create three folders and labels. The free plan also comes with the basic Proton VPN and one Proton Calendar.

The Mail Plus plan, which costs $5 per month, comes with 15 GB of storage. There are no limitations to the number of emails you can send and you can create as many folders and labels as you wish. It also allows you to create 20 calendars that you can share with other users. The Mail Plus plan also allows you to shorten the address to @pm.me.

The Unlimited plan, which costs $12 per month, comes with 500GB of storage, allows you to create up to three custom email addresses, and you can use 15 different email addresses. It also comes with the full Proton VPN which allows up to 10 connections, and access to over 1,700 servers in 63 countries.
