Warcraft 3: Reforged is getting slammed on almost every online platform just one day after its release with fans criticizing the game’s bugs, missing features, poor graphics, and more.

On review aggregator Metacritic, the game has a User Score of just 1.9 with fans saying the game is “nothing like shown in the trailer,” has “half of the promised features,” and is a “completely broken game.”

All of the top posts on the official Warcraft 3 forums are also filled with complaints about Warcraft 3: Reforged with fans describing it as a game that has “proved the naysayers right” and blasting the poor quality and variety of the game’s animation.

Over on the Warcraft 3 subreddit, the story is similar with fans slamming the game’s graphics, the differences between the final game and the trailer from Blizzcon 2018, and the lack of effort with some of the player models and skins.

Some fans are also reporting “multiple crashes” when playing the game and noting that many features from the original Warcraft 3 have been removed including clans, custom campaigns, and profiles.

The complaints about the game come after J. Allen Brack, the president of Warcraft 3: Reforged’s publisher Blizzard, promised fans at Blizzcon 2019: “We will do better going forward.”

Many fans had already vowed to boycott Blizzard over the way it handled the banning of professional Hearthstone player blitzchung last year and weren’t impressed by the company’s “empty” apology about the situation at Blizzcon 2019.

And 2020 doesn’t look like it’s off to a great start for Blizzard.

Not only are these issues plaguing Warcraft 3: Reforged but Blizzard is also facing backlash for its new modding policy which gives the company exclusive rights to and ownership of any custom games that are made with its mapping tools.
