Another whistleblower has recently come out with damning accusations against Facebook, but unlike a number of others who tried to shed light on the way the giant censors users and content, in a bid to stop this rampant practice - Frances Haugen leaked internal documents to the press unhappy that there wasn't enough censorship.
Haugen's leaks, among other things, revealed the practice of "white listing" high profile users and creating a two-tier censorship and moderation policy at Facebook. This to some suggests that the motive for exposing the practice is to further silence voices coming from the "wrong" side of the isle, rather than criticize the practice per se.
Conservative news outlets are now observing that this has granted Haugen special status in media outlets on the opposite end of the political spectrum - which also happen to be dominant in the corporate news industry. Unlike her whistleblowing "predecessors" this one is viewed positively, invited by major TV networks, and is to the best of anyone's knowledge the only whistleblower who has been asked to testify before the US Senate.
The contrast could not be more stark with what had been happening during the previous administration.
