The way Big Tech prescribes its version of the truth shares many parallels with China

? Both the Chinese Communist Party and Big Tech use similar tactics to push their official narratives while purging anything that opposes them.

China has one of the strictest online censorship regimes in the world and regularly scrubs anything that goes against the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) official narratives from the internet.

The CCP uses advanced automated tools, an army of human censors, and millions of human commentators to amplify its official narratives online and prevent Chinese citizens from seeing anything that opposes them.

While this model of an Orwellian Ministry of Truth tightly controlling the narratives that spread on the internet originated in China, it has now been adopted by US social media companies that have huge levels of control over the rest of the internet.

Just like in China, these Big Tech internet gatekeepers use a combination of automated tools, human moderators, and fact-checking partners to push their preferred official narratives on various topics and take down anything that disputes them.
