First Amendment Claims Over Politicians Blocking Citizens On Social Media Are Getting Murky

Conflicting rulings.

The problem of social media companies blocking and censoring politicians is a well known issue, and there have been many legal battles around these situations, that, however, rarely produce more clarity, due to the courts’ differing opinions.

But there are also the cases of politicians deciding to block followers who are their constituents, and these as well continue to reach the US Supreme Court, as courts of appeal produce diametrically opposed rulings.
