EA slammed after permanently banning popular FIFA streamer Kurt from playing its games and using its services

FIFA fans say this is an attempt to silence Kurt because he criticizes the game.

FIFA 20 is heavily criticized by fans of the series and popular Twitch streamer Kurt (Kurt0411) has been one of the most prominent voices in the community when it comes to calling out FIFA developer Electronic Arts (EA) for the state of the game.

Earlier this month, EA hit Kurtโ€™s YouTube channel with a copyright strike and he also received privacy complaints on his YouTube and Twitch videos.

Fans slammed the decision and described EAโ€™s behavior as tyrannical and embarrassing.

But despite the pushback from the FIFA community, EA has now taken further action against Kurt and permanently banned him from playing EA games and using its services.

EA claims Kurt was banned for โ€œposting abusive and threatening messages about EA employees and competitive players on social mediaโ€ and encouraging others to do the same.

However, Kurt has disputed these claims and asked EA to give examples of when he has threatened EA employees.

Kurt also slammed EAโ€™s decision and tweeted that he did nothing wrong:

โ€œIncredibly stuff honestly…banning me from their esports events wasnโ€™t enough, trying to get my Twitch and YouTube channels banned wasnโ€™t enough, they now shut down my 10 year plus Fut Founder account. No words.

End of the day I have never said anything I shouldnโ€™t have. This is just deeper than anyone thinks. They didnโ€™t want me competing at events cos they were scared Iโ€™d win them, now Iโ€™m the 2nd biggest streamer of their game and theyโ€™re scared Iโ€™ll overtake their golden boy.

But when everything is said and done weโ€™ll beat them trust me. They have money but we have numbers. F*ck then and everyone on their side.โ€

Many Twitter users and FIFA streamers are standing with Kurt and have tweeted that EA is trying to silence him while describing the ban as โ€œEA vs The Community.โ€

Some Twitter users are also suggesting that Kurt should start streaming Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) and work with Konami to turn it into a better game than FIFA.

But for now, itโ€™s unclear what the future holds for Kurt and he has yet to comment on where he goes from here.
