If you already live in Proton Mail or VPN, Drive is the natural thing to add. Your files sit on the same account, with end-to-end encryption on by default and open-source, audited clients. It is the youngest part of Proton. The desktop and sync apps are still catching up and the free tier is small. Measured purely on features against a dedicated cloud drive, a couple of rivals may still beat it. Measured as one more piece of a private setup you already use, it makes sense.
