Dominant, giant global payment processors like Mastercard and Visa are emerging as a yet another existential challenge to alternative tech, that’s already forced to grapple with a number of ways the market is skewed against it.

Alternative tech services and platforms have traditionally had and continue to have many serious obstacles to confront and overcome in the hope of establishing themselves as viable choices for that seemingly growing portion of the digital audience weary of restrictions and limitations – ones that all too often snowball into censorship.
