
In the UK, the home secretary is trying to make moves that would overhaul existing surveillance laws, to make them even more useful in the authorities' quest to harvest as much as possible of people's personal information, from telecom providers.
And - that would be happening in a process that's "simplified" - though when true democratic values are taken into account, actually, made much more complicated.
And not only those paying for - and targeted by UK telecommunication companies' surveillance at home would be the target - but also those overseas, to whom UK companies are delivering services.
Nothing about this might seem right, but also, not strange either, given that we now know governments around the world are getting ever more dedicated to exploring the limits of the virtues or true democracy, and even ethics.
