UKโ€™s ITV Player streaming service has censored a line in Tobey Maguireโ€™s 2002 Spider-Man over alleged homophobia.

In a scene where Spiderman (played by Maguire) is facing off with Bonesaw, Spiderman says, โ€œThatโ€™s a cute outfit. Did your husband give it to you?โ€

The line has been deemed homophobic by Twitter users. In the censored version, Spiderman only says, โ€œThatโ€™s a cute outfit.โ€ The husband line was removed.

A Twitter user who noticed the change and recorded it on camera said: โ€œThey removed Peter Parkerโ€™s homophobia.โ€
