How “anonymized” data is a myth

?

To paraphrase a classic expression: “Beware of (big) tech bearing gifts.” When it comes to data anonymization, not only the motive, but also the actual process behind what anonymization is supposed to mean and achieve, can and should be scrutinized by internet users concerned about the safety of their sensitive data.

And amid declarative promises of regulation providing ever greater data anonymization – we are witnessing the rise of startups geared squarely towards breaking these very same protections.
