Alongside your master password it uses a locally generated Secret Key so an attacker needs both to decrypt your vault, a genuinely strong safeguard and everything is end-to-end encrypted with zero-knowledge architecture. The catch for privacy purists is that it's closed source so you're trusting the company's audits and certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, and third-party assessments) rather than reading the code yourself. It's made by AgileBits, a Canadian company and there's no free plan or crypto payment option. Choose it if you want the smoothest experience and family/team features and don't mind paying for closed-source software.
