In a few weeks, YouTube will be fully deprecating its old channel management tool Creator Studio Classic and replacing it with the new YouTube Studio system.

YouTube says the tool has already been deprecated for 10% of creators and some creators are receiving notifications which tell them they’ll be losing access to Creator Studio Classic before the end of the month.

But as YouTube forces creators to start using this new YouTube Studio system, many are reporting that it’s riddled with issues that force them to go through extra steps or freeze their video uploads.

Independent journalist Tim Pool tweeted that the new YouTube Studio system is “awful” and forces creators to walk through a series of steps that were previously accessible on a single page.

Pool also notes that this new YouTube Studio system “hides key functions.”

Because of the issues with YouTube’s system, Count Dankula uploaded his video about Ross Ulbricht aka Dread Pirate Roberts to Pornhub before YouTube’s system started working again.

YouTube has been updating and adding features to the new YouTube Studio system as it rolls out to more creators.

However, with these issues still prevalent just a few weeks before the YouTube Studio system becomes the only channel management tool that’s available, many creators could be faced with the prospect of having to use a tool that they find inferior to Creator Studio Classic.
