A petition calling on major US retailers to stop selling MyPillow products has gone viral, with more than 90,000 signatures. MyPillow owner, Mike Lindell, is close to former President Trump, and has promoted claims of election fraud.

A petition on change.org titled “Amazon, Walmart, Costco, Bed, Bath & Beyond to stop selling MyPillow products” now has more than 90,000 signatures. The petition was created on January 15, after MyPillow’s owner Michael Lindell was seen visiting Trump.

“Today 01/15/2021 the MyPillow founder met with President Trump and suggested instituting martial law after the twice impeached president staged a coup. Time to tell our major retailers to stop selling his products. We will not support funding insurrectionists!” the petition reads.

The major retailers mentioned in the petition appear not to be responding. However, Bed, Bath & Beyond announced they were removing MyPillow products.

“We have been rationalizing our assortment to discontinue a number of underperforming items and brands. This includes the MyPillow product line. Our decisions are data-driven, customer-inspired and are delivering substantial growth in our key destination categories,” a spokesperson for the retailer said, at the time.

Costco said it would continue selling MyPillow products due to “contractual commitments to MyPillow that we intend to honor, as we seek to do with all our suppliers.”
