Former President Trump aide Sebastian Gorka’s YouTube channel America First has been banned. He in this way joined other prominent conservative figures who have been censored by Google’s video giant, including Trump himself and Rudy Giuliani.
Gorka allegedly repeatedly violated YouTube’s policy prohibiting any questioning of the integrity of the November US presidential election, i.e., content that explores possible fraud and irregularities.
A look at recent videos uploaded on the channel that had 230K subscribers shows that Gorka, a conservative commentator, posted a series of interviews examining topics like the Georgia election law, border issues, Trump and his possible 2024 presidential bid, and scandals related to Hunter Biden.
That video featured Joe DiGenova and Victoria Toensing and looked into what the host and his guests believe were the ways in which the last election was stolen from Trump, and what can be done to prevent the same from happening in the future.
In a bit of a break with tradition of sending out brief cookie cutter notices about bans and takedowns with no further explanation, YouTube this time had one of its spokespersons say that America First was permanently removed because it had received three strikes within 90 days, and that the violations had to do with the platform’s election integrity policy.
