Feather is a lightweight, open-source desktop wallet for Monero, built for people who want strong privacy without the overhead of the official suite. It is fully self-custodial: you hold a standard Monero mnemonic seed and Feather never touches your funds. Tor is bundled by default and it ships with coin control (including freezing and thawing outputs), view-only wallets, and offline signing via animated QR codes. It is one of the few wallets officially supported on Tails OS and it works with Ledger and Trezor hardware devices. It is Monero-only and desktop-only, licensed under BSD-3 and maintained as a community project with no company behind it.

No new release since version 2.8.1 in April 2025. Monero network upgrades usually need wallet updates, so check for a newer release before you rely on it.
