Monero GUI is the official desktop wallet from the Monero Project, giving you a first-party way to send, receive, and store XMR. It is fully self-custodial, with a 25-word mnemonic seed that only you control. You can run your own full node for maximum privacy and trustlessness, or connect to a remote node to get started quickly. Network traffic can be routed over Tor or I2P and it supports Ledger and Trezor hardware wallets. It is Monero-only, released under the BSD-3 license and maintained by the volunteer-run, community-funded Monero Project rather than any company.
