Nextcloud Office brings real-time collaborative editing of documents, spreadsheets, and presentations directly into a self-hosted Nextcloud server. Since Nextcloud Hub 26 it is powered by Euro-Office, an open-source fork of ONLYOFFICE built by Nextcloud, IONOS and other European companies, with the LibreOffice-based Collabora Online engine still offered as an option. Both open and save ODF and Microsoft formats; Euro-Office favors Microsoft formats and Collabora favors ODF. Multiple people can edit the same file in the browser at once, with everything stored on your own infrastructure rather than a vendor's cloud. It is not end-to-end encrypted but files stay under your control on hardware you run. The software is free and open source under the AGPL, developed by Germany-based Nextcloud GmbH, with paid enterprise support offered.
