Nextcloud Office brings real-time collaborative editing of documents, spreadsheets, and presentations directly into a self-hosted Nextcloud server. It is powered by Collabora Online, an open-source engine built on LibreOffice so it opens and saves ODF and Microsoft formats with strong fidelity. Multiple people can edit the same file in the browser at once, with everything stored on your own infrastructure rather than a vendor’s cloud. It is not end-to-end encrypted but files stay under your control on hardware you run. The software is free and open source under the AGPL, developed by Germany-based Nextcloud GmbH, with paid enterprise support offered.
