The COVID era ushered in a new wave of worker surveillance

The Tech Revolution has been underway for a while, and just like the previous sea change affecting economy and society – the Industrial Revolution – in this still historically early stage the tech “variant” is very much punching down – i.e., adversely affecting those with the least power the most.

And that’s either by leaving them jobless or forcing them into a labor market and conditions where even physical injury rates aren’t falling like one would expect in an ever more enlightened and civilized world.
