As many governments around the world, previously thought of as unquestionably democratic, proceed to introduce various elements of China’s social credit system into various segments of everyday life and services – the “original” continues to evolve.

China’s social credit system which first appeared in 2014 as a six-year-plan, has been turned into a draft law.
